THE OLD MANOR HOUSE |
THE WEDDING
Hello Mike & Kate - this page is all yours. It has only taken me six and a half years to do it (I write this New Year's Eve 2002), so that ain't bad. Hope you enjoy looking back on your time with us in Florida and that BIG day. Did you really have to skip the country and become expats? Now you are available WORLDWIDE. All the best, your friends, Shane & Theresa. Here we go: We had a late night on the Friday - about 4 a.m. before we got to bed. Did my level best to talk you out of it, but no, neither of you would see reason so you had to go through with it. Lambs to the slaughter is my favourite phrase. Of course, we also have it all on video and I know you look at this from time to time. I liked the bit in the car en-route to the court house and, naturally, the Jack Daniels sequence. It will also be one of our more memorable anniversaries sharing it, as we do, with you guys (and Dave & Jane but better not go there judging by recent correspondence!) I think you have lovely hands but, Mike, you must stop wearing nail polish. So far so good. All well after six minutes. Congrats from the best(?) man. Tiring (and hot, ugggh) work this best-man-ing Congrats from the best(?) woman. All smiles except it is now ten minutes gone and Mike has just realised what he has done. We restated our vows "Never do that again" So, that all done we returned to chez Dudley for the Wedding party. Click here for more!
