THE OLD MANOR HOUSE

HONG KONG

HOME PAGE UP

I think by the time we got here we were all in 'God it is back to work next week' mode, so we saw the bad side of things too readily.  The heat and humidity wasn't conducive to city sight seeing either.  And we will never forget the restaurant pulling a big rubber pipe up the stairs through the second floor (where we were) and start pumping out the septic tank or drains.  Pleasant it wasn't.  The bad bits done with here are the great things.....

We stayed in an hotel in Kowloon and took a trip to  Hong Kong Island on the ferry.  Also took a regular bus to a market somewhere miles away and felt quite proud of ourselves (Theresa mainly as she knows everything and we follow her!).  Actually, if you got this far (truly amazing!) I'll share this joke with you as it is one of my all time favourites.  Click here - let me know if you liked it!

Funny wasn't it?  That will have removed a few potential exchangers, hehe.
